Roasted the bean is edible and some are chocolate coated to be eaten.
The white flower becomes a green bean which ripens to a red cherry.
The ripe bean must be picked shortly after ripe, then skinned and dried within the day. 


The Pandanas Tree
in Hawaii somtimes called the
HALA Tree.
This tree has been used to create
mats.
The seeds are large pods and they
float. Possibly why these trees are found throughout the Pacific
